Volunteers Needed
It takes over 400 volunteers to assure a successful Washington County Fair.
We appreciate all of the folks who love the fair and want to assist in some way with the events. We prefer a four hour block of time given, but if necessary will use those who can only serve two hours at a time. We will provide you with a parking pass, Fair T-Shirt (if wanted), bottled water and snacks. Look over the list and sign up today by emailing wendys@washcofair.net or calling 619-9522.
- Ticket Takers for the Bull Rides on Friday, August 14th from 6 PM to 8:30 PM
- Ticket Takers for the Demolition Derby, Saturday, August 15th from 6 PM to 8:30 PM
- Security in the Exhibit Building (making sure people are not touching or disturbing the exhibits, answering questions, helping with things that might come up, etc. Hours needed are:
Wednesday, August 12th from 6PM to 10PM
Thursday, August 13th from 11 AM to 10 PM
Friday, August 14th from 11 AM to 10 PM
Saturday, August 15th from 11 AM to 10-PM - Working at the Information Desk in the Commercial Booth area. Helping with vendor problems or questions, directing fair patrons to certain events, helping people fill out surveys, etc.
- Working with Fine Arts, Home Arts, 4-H, Fruits & Vegetable Departments in accepting entries, filling out entry/premium tickets, getting things ready for display, etc. Hours needed are:
Saturday, August 8th from 3PM to 6PM
Monday, August 10th from 8AM to 8PM
Wednesday, August 12th from 7AM to 11 AM
